From hashtags to handcuffs: how social media puts justice on trial

Everyone out there is a judge. While Courts look at the CIRCUMSTANCES to a crime, the judges out here don't. They are not 1, 2, or 3, but a tribe of self-appointed judges. The longer the #, the more heart-breaking hashtags get the most eyeballs.

But do we think it may be just what was intended out of that post? The media smells a story and jumps in too. This social media trial, the # trials also has " People " in it who are impacted not only socially but also emotionally. Reading one version does not validate the story put out there - it may be on purpose. Where is responsible journalism? To demean, to slander, to pull down is easy.

Please do it but find the Truth before jumping in to be a " viewed by X, Y, Z " numbers - making it difficult for " people " to defend themselves before the police and Courts.
